I would go with a pair of double 18's now and be done with it. Of course you will need more power and space to haul them. The first time you play a bigger show you'll thank yourself. Having two of also make quick work for something to put your SP2's on top of for the classic one over one left right stack.
The Peavey Low Rider 18's are very good drivers, in properly built cabinets they work great. I built 4 double 18's loaded with them. If your not the DIY type get a pair of the QW218's .
