An interesting install?
« on: April 21, 2006, 07:32:30 PM »

The following is a true story!

Question for ya.  How do you use a mono 1/3rd oct eq to eq a truely stereo system?  If you pan a signal to the left it comes out of the left and the same thing for the right.  If you boost the eq it affects both channels.

Give up?  You wire the stereo outputs to the amps/speakers.  You then wire up a post fade eq to the input of the EQ.  The output of the eq goes to a channel in which it is panned to the center.  You can boost a bit, but cannot cut-or you can a bit depending on the level of the returned channel.

How do people come up with stuff like this?  I never cease to be amazed in this business.
