« on: September 22, 2011, 10:35:21 PM »

Bought a pair of 252's on eEEK!-bay. 1 works beautifully. 1 -dead. No sound whatsoever. Tested the drivers-all good-whew! Ordered a new crossover and installed it. Still dead!!! WHAT THE???!!! I'm at wits end, can anyone who knows turbo x-overs help me out here? Thank you!

Hi Chuck,

There is a HF protection light bulb on this cabinet - is it present, secure and does it measure continuity?

Swap the crossover from the functioning box to the non functioning box to verify that you didn't get a bad crossover.

Your problem is with the Speakon jack on the input panel. Replace the jacks and you'll be good to go.

All 3 driver lead pairs are hard wire soldered to the board so -easier said than done, but if by-passing the NL jacks doesn't work, then looks like I'll be up late tonight!

PS: Turbo wouldn't send me a brand new dud would they!? I might expect that from Behringer but not Turbo!!

Gee, the NL-4's look puurty. No evidence of boogering or rough handling. I'm gonna try applying signal straight onto the input leads of the x-over and see if that works. Thanks for the ideas guys!

I put music across the leads of each driver. (At low level so as not to injure the horn driver)
Beautiful music comes out of all 3 drivers.
