SB1000z vs DBH218
« on: January 31, 2011, 02:56:01 PM »

So I have a question, I can either go with 3 sb1000z's, or 2 Danley DBH218's.

This is due to size limitations.  The question is in terms of best bang for the buck what to go with?

The subs will be put in a single array under the stage, placed next to each other on the floor.

I would go with the two Danley subs, I own some TH115's and they will go head to head against sb1000 and win in overall sound quality and output. The DBH-218 blows them away judging simply by the spec sheet. The musicality of the Danleys will kill the EAWs. Power them right and you'll be happy.

I would second the dbh218. I have heard the sb1000z and have heard the dbh and own one and wouldn't look back going with the dbh.

Hey Owen, have you heard about the new EAW SB2001? Might be a good option if the box size works for you...

Look at the published data sheets and specifically unprocessed sensitivity.
