M32 .scn file > M32R
« on: April 30, 2024, 01:17:36 PM »

I just spent time offline building the ultimate M32 .scn file for a show this weekend, only to find out subsequently that the venue actually has an M32R.  Will my file still load and what are the implications for things like mute groups, custom layers, etc.?

Thanks!

The issues will come from local input or output that was used in your design and not existing on the M32R - local inputs 17-32, local outputs 9-16, AES3 output.

Mute groups, buses, DCAs are the same.

X32 and M32 are essentially the same platform.

As Tim pointed out, the big thing you'll have to work with is the i/o routing which can be different based on each install.  That's easy enough to quickly do after loading your file.

Safe their output routing before you load your scene, so you don't mess up their house and monitor connections.
