power output on FS II Base II 2-wire
« on: April 25, 2023, 11:54:38 AM »

Can't find info in CC manual...How many RTS BP325 Beltpacks can be powered from the 2-wire output of a Freespeak II Base II?   Or what is the max current possible total from both outputs?

Pete,
Have you looked at the Encore Power Supply Calculator?  A google search will bring it up, but I am not sure if that will give you what you need. It says the the Max supply for the FSII-BASE-II is .8A, but then says "Power budget is shared per A/B or C/D XLR pair - Consider the pairs as separate PSU"

Hi,

You probably found this and it's not for RTS either, but if it helps any here's what I found.

Power 2-wire beltpacks from the Partyline
2-wire Partyline beltpacks can take power from the Partyline:
l FreeSpeak base power : Supply = 800 mA to Partyline shared between A/B and C/D.
l Approximately 28 RS 701 beltpacks per pair of ports
l Approximately 20 RS 702 beltpacks per pair of ports
l Approximately 20 RS 703 beltpacks per pair of ports

This is MUCH higher than I thought was possible, but I think I was confusing the FS ports with LQ2w ports which are only 150mA max with their local power supply. I've maxed those ports out with 5-6 RS-703s and god forbid I put a speaker station on there 'cause that would basically take the whole supply by itself.

Great info to know.
