PM5K internal battery
« on: February 17, 2017, 07:06:59 AM »

Can anyone offer me any information regarding the process of replacing the internal battery on a 5K? I've got one tipped in my shop being prepped to be sold off. Just trying to reclaim some real estate on the shop floor. I'd like to do this in house as I have no desire to put any more money into the desk. Admittedly, I've done very little leg work of my own beyond a Google search and a forum search here.

Thanks in advance.
Todd.

Service manual says it is under the VCA faders. Most likely a CR2032 battery, that's what Yamaha uses in everything else.

Thanks Scott. I'll start with the VCA section.
