Bob, do you think the 240's would be good for mixing down some live recordings as I don't have the money or space for some proper studio monitors? The reviews on Amazon are very positive and from what I've read online semi-open headphones are best for this purpose.

I have 8 pairs of 240s and use them for this purpose as well. My recording rig is based around Cubase, and although I have decent monitors I find the 240's to be spot on every time. Best bang for the buck headphones ever made, and they've been making them for a loooooong time.
