           I was wondering if anyone on here knows of good free software to draw up a stage plan.

Hello All,
           I was wondering if anyone on here knows of good free software to draw up a stage plan.

I recommend making a Drawing using Google Docs.  As long as you have Internet access, you can get it from "where you are", it prints to PDF, and it's simple to use.

SketchUp is nice, it just takes some time to get used to.  Being able to insert pre-built objects (drawn to scale) is awesome.
