Need name of a software solution
« on: March 05, 2008, 12:23:26 AM »

Hi everyone.
I'm new poster here.
I have a gig coming up and i have a projection that has a very bad angle on it.
It id set in a theatre with fly tower and there is a LOT of fly ques in the show. And because of that i am sev erly limited as to where i can put the projector.

The angle is shooting from offstage to almost Centre stage aprox 4 meters to the far end of the screen and the keyston feature on the projector cant fix the image on the screen.

I have heard of a software solution to this where you can pick up the corners of the image and move them to where you want them and fix this problem.

My question is does anyone know what this software is called and where i could get it from

A silicon optix IA-100 will do what you need. It is a hardware solution, although not an overly expensive one. You may or may not need the -EX version depending on what you are doing.

Tom, keep in mind that with a severe enough angle, the projection distance will vary enough across the surface of the screen that you'll never get the whole image in focus.

Might not make a difference in your application, but worth keeping in mind.
