VerTec wiring?
« on: December 09, 2006, 06:10:08 PM »

The vt4880 have 2 lf drivers x 8 ohms, so is the box 4 or 16 ohm?

Also, the input power ratings given, for example 2000w... is this continuous, program or peak?

I'm doing some research on the VerTec speakers...this is just for an assignment I have for a class...so i'm not buying...

thanks

I believe the boxes have an NL4 with one driver wired to the 1+/1- and one wired to 2+/2-.  You could hook both to a single channel for a 4 ohm load, but it would not be sensible to make it a 16 ohm load... you'd never find an amplifier big enough.
