I've used them on several church systems and they work very well.  It is generally considered that you need two of them, stacked into a longer column, to improve coverage and get more pattern control at lower frequencies.

With MA12's you barely cover the male speech range.  If you are reinforcing music (or spoken word at louder SPL's) you must use a bass device such as the Bose MB4 to extend the system response.

Thanks for the reply, They will be installing a column of 3 per side and 2 mb4 bass speakers in a room 70 x 90 with 23 foot high ceilings. You say they don't cover the male speech range well, it is going to be for a praise band environment.

I personally have some doubts that just 2 MB4 will be enough for a praise band and in a room this size, assuming there is a drum kit and bass.  I think you may need another MB4 per side.

Let us know how it works out.

Ok, I will let you know how it works out, hopefully they will have the building done in a few months from now. I think I will contact the installer and have him add 2 more mb-4's to the other side. Hope it doesn't jack up the cost too much. We will be mic'ing the drums and bass guitar so I really need the bass!!!!
THanks
