Behringer X32 and Canon XA60
« on: November 19, 2023, 07:59:58 PM »

Hi everyone,

What is best way to connect Behringer X32 to Canon XA60's XLR? I tried from phone out to XLR and does not work very well.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Are you trying to get audio from the console into the camera? If so, just set up a separate AUX feed and go xlr to xlr.

Also you need to set the audio input to be line level on the camera when using the above connections.

What was it that did not work very well?

We have a Soundcraft Si Impact and use a Behringer UMC202HD interface to get sound into an ipad. Maybe worth a shot

"Doesn't work very well" isn't very descriptive.  Not sure what 'phone out' of the X32 is either.  Were you using the headphone jack?  If so, that's going to be wired incorrectly.

Use either one of the XLR outputs and use a regular XLR cable, or use one of the aux outs and use a balanced TRS to XLR cable.  Either should work just fine.
