Not sure how those would pair with my current set up, I bit the bullet and ordered the DZR12s, their canadian warehouse is in town and that seemed like another tick in their favour for parts/service.

I have a pair of DZR10s and they are stunning and will add some DXR/DSRs this year.  Get the factory covers for your DZR speakers.  Amazing design that let's you run them outdoors in adverse weather.

I did order the covers as well, I think my plan is going to be to make this work for the summer then buy a second pair and sell off my IQ series.

I am checking if the 15" subs are available now I think I am going to bite the bullet now, then sell of my TS stuff and then grab some more subs,
Looking at the 15s which are 90Lbs each which seems manegable to me, at 110lbs the 18s while in some ways I would prefer but I have a number of places where stairs are involved and I like to be able to carry them up myself.

Look at the JTR powered Captivator 212 pro.  75 lbs and sounds lovely.  Has adjustable crossover and delay built in.
For my mid sized events, I use one with my Danley SM96 tops.  For bigger shows, the TH118s come out.
I have the DXS15s also, that I use with my DXR12 or DSR112 tops on smaller shows.

If you use a hand truck to get the subs up and down the stairs you'll barely even notice a 20lb difference. Unless you're talking more than 2 flights of stairs.

1 flight, the one place its a bit of a bad pitch, they could never pull a permit on this place for renovations likely as they would need to tear it down to correct this issue.

I have heard ppl speak about hand trucks for stairs I am going to look into one.

db tech Ingenia's ...  I have IG3T's  are not cheap but are very good.  They run rings around my DSR-112's.  1 pair easily keep up with 4 kw-181 subs.

Can you go into more detail on what you mean by “run rings around”?

I received my 2 DZR12s on Friday, and managed 2 gigs with them, so far I am very happy with the results.

Mid and High end clarity was much better than my IQ stuff.

I also got 1 of the 2 DXS15XLF subs in, but have not had time to use it yet, as I really needed a pair for these gigs, so it will likely sit for a month before I start gigging it.
