Help, 01v96 resetting to blank screen
« on: February 19, 2010, 02:32:08 PM »

after a few minutes of being turned on, my o1v96 resets to a blank screen.  sometimes it tries to reboot as if it lost power, generally goes back to blank after not quite finishing booting.  Does not pass audio when this happens.

Ive tried resetting to factory.  Did not help.

Any other suggestions?

The next, and last, user action is to reinstall the firmware. If that does not correct the problem it probably needs to go home to its mother for repair.

Hey Brian,

I am not sure I would try to reinstall the firmware while the 01v96 is the habit of rebooting itself. Could really mess things up internally.

I had a rebooting problem (not good in the middle of a show) with mine and the fix was bad soldering joints in the power supply.

Good Luck.

I think i commented on that reboot thread.  I checked the psu connections and they look good.  I did the reinstall and am leaving it running.  so far so good.

thanks
