Title: Gaining Experience
Post by: Corey Willis on July 05, 2005, 02:58:37 pm
Hey everybody... new member to the forum here... just want to say I love this place. I've been able to learn so much just from reading in here. BUT, on to my question. I've been involved (part-time) with mobile DJ rigs, live sound, and church sound systems for about 10 years or so now. I would really like to look into gaining experience and really learning about designing installed sound systems, primarily for churches, but other venues as well. I've looked into the Syn-Aud-Con workshops and hope to be able to attend one soon, but other than that, what would you veterans recommend for gaining training / education / experience in this line of work? I'm located in Tennessee about an hour and a half from Nashville, if that helps anything. I appreciate any advice.
