Title: DVD's & Videos
Post by: Adam Feldstain on May 09, 2004, 01:52:28 pm
Does anyone know of any Videos or DVDs that take an in-depth look at that behind the scenes of lighting at a concert or show? Showing load in, set up, console programming, equipment lists etc... like the lighting mags do.  Always looking for ideas and tricks and most DVDs of concerts only show the show! Smile

I would't call it in depth but the last U2 DVD has footage of the concert being set up, so with all the trusses etc getting flown.  Theres always a video track from inside the video truck with the video director getting all excited, so not too much lighting but might still be interesting.

Although the road movie on disc two of Elevation live is great, you would probably get the most out of the making of portion of disc one, where they talk specifically about the differences between the lighting of that show and other shows, and how they approached the lighting change needed for the video shoot.
