Title: Where can I get a scrim made?
Post by: Matt Collins on July 18, 2011, 10:52:39 am
I might need to get a couple of large scrims printed.

Does anyone know of some reputable vendors that do this?

Rose Brand comes to mind.

Also, check with local theater suppliers. Some of the big ones will print scrims.

Try echodgraphics.com in NYC. They do building wraps (fine black plastic mesh with digital graphics). Look under "mesh" heading. Works GREAT as a scrim too. See pix. Very reasonable, very fast (about a week and a half delivered to your door), and very good. Large sizes absolutely no problem and nearly indestructible. Only two drawbacks... supposed to be a seam every 10 feet (couldn't find one in my drop though, 12'x14') and it's pretty stiff and it is very hard to get the creases  out of it from folding in the box, although we didn't have it under a whole lot of tension. The total price with any options(grommets, etc) comes up on their calculator on the website.
