entertainment metals may be able to beat that for similar quality. There are a couple of low-priced alternatives that can be found on ebay and such. I will not go into detail about who they are, as I have had less than ideal experiences with both.

You might try Theatrixx. The last price I got on a TL5 30A rack pack was less than that in CDN.

I can get you a quote if needed.. Going to be probably 10-15% Less than ML.. Also they do lunch box style units if you are not planning on putting in a rack.

what about a LEX brand ?
LEX is a fine brand and they build good stuff. The company switches at our local PAC and the casino arena are LEX PowerGate.. but I'm not seeing Motion Labs-style "rack packs" on the Lex website.

They are part of the "powerRACK" series, for rolling racks. I had to hunt to find them.
