Title: Why are my posts all double spaced?
Post by: Justice C. Bigler on February 13, 2016, 11:19:04 pm
When I post a message with multiple paragraphs...

Like this...

With just one line of space between them, they all end up being double spaced.
But if I don't put a line between them, they are all jammed together.

Ask Ivan. All of his sentences are double spaced. I'm not sure it's a forum issue though. ;)

Ask Ivan.

It "depends".

I usually write long posts, but don't use double spacing. Ivan uses double spacing, but I don't see him using paragraphs often, if ever.

I know in the profile tabs there is settings that you can use to change the layout and styles. It may be a place for you to see and run the default settings. I would imagine if you didn't change things to begin with, they will already be in default and that may be why it condenses your double spacing?

I was always under impression that double spacing was a college writing format thing? I would never get through college simply because I would refuse to write things in some silly format. If I am writing a paper I am going to write it the same way I see it written in books and articles. If the space is there to allow for notes and other critique, then you won't need the space with me anyway :)
