What are the best cost effective 10,000 to 12,000 lumen projectors on the market at the moment? DLP or LCD/LCD+ content is mainly IMAG reinforcement in concert work.
-
What do you feel defines "best"? What are you looking for in terms of format (4:3, 16:9 or 16:10), resolution, inputs and throw distance/lens?
-
Concert work indoors/outdoors? Outdoors your gonna need a brighter projector then 12k if it's still somewhat daylight.
-
Our cameras are still SD so 4:3 at the moment, but forward thinking 16:9 down the road might be a option to keep on the back burner, screens upto ~ 15'x20' with 20'-35' throws..

mostly after sunset when we're doing outdoor shows...

Dave,
We've had great experience with the Panasonic DW100 which is a 10k lumen piece 16:9. Also had good experience with the SanyoPLC XF46N which is a 12k 4:3 product.

I have a sneak paek and Sanyo's latest on Friday. I will let you if I see anything stunning.
