Just purchased the Roland V-40HD and seems to work great using HDMI inputs....The issue I am having is that when plugging in a VGA cable the image looks Purple...The source was a macbook pro....One suggestion was to turn overscan off on the laptop....Also to try different VGA Cables.

Overscan won't do anything to help a purple picture. It's function only controls geometry.
Try a different cable and make sure that its firmly seated on both ends. Then also make sure both your source and display are set to rgb color space.

Most likely it's the VGA cable. You're missing the green pair of pins somehow.

I agree.....Green is missing. You have changed the VGA cable, so one may assume that the connection to the projector or the laptop has an issue

Check the color space on the switcher.
