Title: Low frequency directivity related to efficiency?

When a low frequency system becomes directional (ie a group of large subwoofers) with almost no spill off the sides and rear, could this indicate the system is around 50% efficient or better?

The actual numbers depend on where the system started out at.
As you narrow the coverage, the SPL will increase due to less radiating area.
The same thing works for mids and highs, that is why narrower coverage pattern cabinets have a higher sensitivity-even when using the same components as wider dispertion cabinets.
