Title: SysTune 1.2 released
Post by: Doug Fowler on May 01, 2012, 01:46:51 PM
It's been a year in development, here are the highlights:

Price reduction to $ 550 525, single seat.

Delay Analysis improved: alignments without relying on phase interpretation.  This is a huge time saver for those who can already do phase alignments.  For those with less experience, Delay Analysis will get you into proper alignments quickly and easily.  Anyone who has ever taught a measurement class knows the most difficult part is getting students to understand and interpret phase.  While it is important in the big picture to understand phase, it is more important to achieve measurement goals (alignment, for example) without being buried in details.  Delay Analysis does this.

Web interface: use the SysTune Web Server plugin to cause ST to serve web pages to your mobile device.  Just enter the ST computer's IP address into your mobile device's browser and control ST remotely.  Note this IS NOT an application,  nor is VNC or Remote Desktop required.  It merely uses the browser on the mobile device to communicate with ST.   The browser must support SVG, or Scalable Vector Graphics.  Safari and Chrome work well.  The latest version of IE supports SVG, earlier versions do not.  I believe Firefox is also supported.  Certainly, your Apple device will work.

There are plenty of other improvements as well.  Info at SysTune.afmg.eu (http://SysTune.afmg.eu)

Also, there is now a SysTune Facebook page.  Like it and be registered to win a free "I'm a SysTuner" T-shirt.

edit: corrected pricing

ST Standard                    = 525 USD
ST Pro                             = 850 USD
Upgrade Standard to Pro = 375 USD

No charge from 1.1x to 1.2

I wish Rational would have a price reduction. I may have to investigate this SysTune thing more closely now.

Hey Doug:

What's the free upgrade path, if any? I have v1.1.6.

How does one go about the upgrade process? I looked on-site and didn't see specifics on that. Maybe you do it from within the v1.1.6 installation?

Thanks!

I believe it is permanent.

Edit: price is $ 525, not $ 550.

Sorry about the swerve, but since it was brought up... I just ordered full Smaart v7 via NSL for $630 - significantly less than full price on the rational website.

And since systune got to wave a big flag. I will not debate pricing but :  Version 7.4 of Smaart is coming out soon, and thats worth checking out!
