This is what I did this week - I thought the Danley subs were the real star but the kids only talk about the lights. :(

Did you bring in a genny?  I have never been in a school theater that had enough power for 20 cans, much less all the stuff you took in there!

I had a 400 amp disconnect for 65 channels worth of dimmers.

Yep - those were definitely genny gigs. I love gennys and do my best to spec them even when a facility appears to be able to support the load needed, unless it's a designed-for-entertainment venue that I don't get the privilage of providing for that often, being a small fish and all. :) I had a gig last year where the local power went off during a storm and the genny kept the show up and running.

Just took delivery on fifty of the Wiedamark LED cans for my B rig - I'm going to make longer brackets so I can hang two cans per position on my 6 can bars to see if I can get the lumen horsepower needed smaller gigs. Those cans measure .2 amps with every LED full on (white), have a power factor of about .85 and it appears that I can get close to 100 cans on a single 20 amp outlet! I'll post the results in a few weeks.

I'm impressed. In fact I'll pay tribute by borrowing some of those design ideas. Those totems look great like that.
