Title: Earthworks SR314 Live Vocal Microphone
Post by: Robert Lunceford on May 14, 2019, 10:28:52 PM
While looking at a recent FOH magazine that was showcasing new products from NAMM, I saw the photo of the EW SR314 live vocal mic. I've been looking for a retro looking mic for the singer in my band as we play music from 1930-1960 Paris.
We have used it for our last two shows, previously we were using a Heil PR35 (original version). The singer said that it took some getting used to as it responded differently from the Heil. She says that it is more detailed and inspiring to sing through as she can hear more nuance in vocal performance. She also said that it is better to give the mic some space and not be right on top of it. I have linked a video of the band performing with the SR314. This is her second concert using the mic.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIj2l3JKTWs
