Title: FBT Stagemaxx 12Ma vs RCF NX12SMA?
Post by: Eric Reese on February 20, 2015, 05:48:03 AM
All,
I'm evaluating some powered wedge options in the $1000-$2000 retail range and recently got an opportunity to demo the FBT Stagemaxx 12MA.  I have to say, that I'm initially extremely impressed with the box.  Loud, light, clean, nice BNC coax, truecon, etc. My only hesitation is my lack of knowledge/experience with the brand.

Has anyone done any side by side comparisons between this and the RCF NX 12 SMA (or similar)? If so, how do they compare? (I know the RCF has been praised here in the past.)

Thanks,
Eric

Have not done a side by side comparison, but have done demo's and reviews on both, and would say, that if you sat them side by side blindfolded , you would have a hard time telling the difference. The FBT is a bit lighter due to injection moulded enclosure. Both have great drivers in them.
