Whats up everyone,
I am a DJ for an upscale event company. I routinely do 200-300 people, in large venues. As all DJ's now, MC's are always yelling into mics. So I am looking for a new sound rig. I currently go out with (4) QSC k12 tops and (2) RCF 8001As subs...The RCF's are heavy, and I always work by myself. So I am looking for a pair of subs, and pair of 15" highs, that are able to handle loud music, plus an MC...
Any thoughts?

What does the MC yelling into the mic have to do with needing a larger , more high powered speaker package? Just curious.

First, welcome to the forums,
Good diverse group of people here who would love to help you out. Thanks for fixing your name!
Checkout the DJ forum, and the lounge. Search for K12 or SRX and read some posts about system deployment, etc.

Upscale = nice looking gear/setup correct, no? What constitutes as 'nice looking gear' or 'setup correctly'?
Large = how large? school gym [150ftx150ft]; arena [250ftx250ft]
As all DJ's now, MC's are always yelling into mics.
That matters how?
So I am looking for a new sound rig.
Why?
As worded it is because people are yelling into the mics causing...what, distortion, clipping?
There is no reason yelling into a mic will cause K12's to not get loud and sound 'decent' while doing it.
If the mic is overloading and sending distorted signal to the mixer-to the speakers they will happily produce it.
What mic are you using?
Furthermore, what is the ENTIRE system comprised of? (you can't make it too detailed)
I currently go out with (4) QSC k12 tops and (2) RCF 8001As subs...The RCF's are heavy, and I always work by myself.
Are all 4 K12's covering the same area? Or are you using some as monitors, or front/side fills?
So you want lighter subs?
So I am looking for a pair of subs, and pair of 15" highs, that are able to handle loud music, plus an MC...
Any thoughts?
Why 15"?
What type of DJ music?
Price range?
Active/passive?
Heavily compressed music will nearly always be louder than voice, what can't your system do now that you want it to do?
Cheap, Sounds good, Lightweight. Pick 2.

Yes. Put your subs on wheels, and turn down the gain on the mic. Stated problems solved.
BTW , welcome to the forum. Don't let the replies scare you away. You'll get used to it and actually come to love it. I have taken alot of abuse here myself, for my own good. Everything of real value I know about doing sound I learned here. Everything I haven't learned yet I will most likley learn here.

I've heard about those kinds of events...

Did they blow up the old one?
If not, get a compressor to put on the mic (only).

Might be difficult if they only have a DJ desk. Time to grab a small-format mixer or something.

I know exactly what Mark is talking about and we are in the same business...those qsc k12's get fatigued very easily...after trying JBL SRX, VRX, RCF HDL 20, RCF ART 745, DB Tech T8's etc etc I went a complete passive Danley system..But I also always bring a Allen and Heath Qu16 digital mixer with me on events and full control over the entire system...I am very pleased with the results and plan on buying more Danley gear
