Looking for leads on DMP7 (yes, the one from 1987) fader belts.

I'm looking for the schematics for this old friend, with his confusingly labeled polarity errors. Verifies shield on cables, but doesn't see the other two 2 connections. I'm not smart enough to trace how it's supposed to work.

I use one for livestreaming. It stays powered on 24/7 and has been reliable. Every couple months, I cannot connect via BT but the unit will continue to pass audio and the faders respond. I simply reboot and pair BT again. I dont know if its my iPhone's problem or the Flow. I wouldnt even call is a nuisance. My X32 rack directly connected to ethernet has actually been more troublesome losing connection.

"If" you have the soldering skills adding a 12 ft piece of 32 pair cable to an existing snake stage box is the lowest up front cost way of making this work. The cost / benefit decision of course has more to do with how busy you are & how much you're charging for your time. If you were to do this mod to a well made Whirlwind or Rapco snake you'd certainly have a better quality snake than the Seismic.

Hi Floris, the Powersoft T Series of amps are another popular choice for these subs and are a bit more cost effective than the Danley offerings.  Judging by another ongoing thread at the moment, forum member Debbie Dunkley might have a T602 looking for a new home ;)

I got those amps a year or so ago for < $1k each. I've been using them for a much smaller Danley setup and they've been really blowing my mind so far. I acquired them separately from the TH118s.

The "Recommended Power Amplifier" specs threw me off.
The Dynacord DSA8212 amp would work fine bridged mono into a single 4 ohm TH-118.
You would need three more if you want to use the dynamic range the TH-118 can handle.
Their peak power of 3400 watts is good, but as Paul (and Ivan) have suggested the long term limiting should be set to about 1/4 that.

Hi John, I agree with Art - definitely don't scrap the whole cabinet.  The QSC HPR Series uses analog amps which to my understanding are essentially plate versions of the QSC RMX Series.  My guess is that given the simplicity of analog amps combined with the prevalence QSC RMX amps, any competent repair shop should be able to diagnose and repair the unit without much struggle.  Alternatively, you can always pull the amp off and try to do this yourself.  Hope this helps!

I had an amp module go down this weekend. QSC says it's obsolete and no parts are available. Am I dead in the water with this? These things have been workhorses for me and I hate to think the cab is scrap. Suggestions?
Thanks
John
The cab is not scrap, even if the amp may be.
You could either replace the amp with a current QSC module, an outboard amp, or another brand of plate amp:

Won't be exactly the same, but it will work, until it doesn't..

Looks like the Dynacord amplifiers you currently have with those subs are your best choice for DJ use with those speakers.  As well, it looks like someone may have already sized those amps with those speakers; appears those amps are safe for those speakers; at one speaker per channel.

I got those amps a year or so ago for < $1k each. I've been using them for a much smaller Danley setup and they've been really blowing my mind so far. I acquired them separately from the TH118s.

Before thinking of spending money on big amps... there's a lot to know about a speaker's power rating.

Yes - it doesn't sit right with me at the moment to spend > $5k for a DNA20k amp or similar when I've got the Dynacords, but I don't feel knowledgeable enough to confidently make this call by myself so really appreciate all the comments from everyone here.

For the OP - if your playback includes sustained VLF content you will be surprised at how fast your subs will heat up, and how few Watts it takes to "smell the voice coils."  On a popular 2x18 reflex sub, 400-500W was sufficient to have the cabinets dancing around the floor and after 10-20 minutes one could smell the heat at the reflex ports.  The "peak rating" was something around 5,000 Watts.  There is no doubt in my mind that to apply that much power would result in failed speakers and maybe necessitate a fire extinguisher moment.

DNA20k amps are what a majority TH118 users seem to be using though: https://www.danleysoundlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/DNA-Pro-Specs-v1.4.pdf
It's super hard for me to compare amp specs but the cost is astronomical in comparison to what I paid for the Dynacords.

The Danleys are 4ohm boxes?

Yep! Specs are here https://www.danleysoundlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/TH118-Spec-Sheet-v.202209231214.pdf. The "Recommended Power Amplifier" specs threw me off.

Hi all,

Has anyone here used L'Acoustics A10s? Looking at maybe having 4x A10 wide and 2x KS21s all powered with 2x LA4x amps. Not looking to fly anything at this point as 95% of my events are ground supported PAs. I have never used L'Acoustics before. I downloaded the Soundvision software and was completely lost. Much different compared to LAC and ArrayCalc.

What's the throw on these boxes like?
How do they sound?
Would a 1 over 1 or 2 over 1 be sufficient for a band gig and possible DJ. No EDM, hip hop.
The biggest room I provide sound for is 60' wide by 120' deep.
How's the accessories in setting these up etc..

Looking for Pros and cons of this rig.

TIA
