Title: What wire to use?

Here's my setup:

Mackie SR aux outs

Through roughly 100' of conduit (stage snake in same conduit)

Through Alesis MEQ230's

Into Behringer HA4600 headphone amp (in ears for drummer, bassist, & lead guitar)

And my question:

Shielded or Un-shielded cable through the conduit?

Use twisted pair shielded wire.  24ga is fine.  Be sure to wire it up balanced.

West Pen 291 is a good choice.

The MEQ230 is unbalanced -- and piece of shit -- so unless you can insert it on the mix outs, get rid of it. besides, you probably don't need it if you're driving headphones.

Everyone gets the same mix? yuck.

The MEQ230 is a fine EQ. It might be unbalanced but it still works you just have to be conscience of where you place it in your signal chain. Hence why it is going onstage next to the headphone amps so I can run a balanced line from the board over the longer distance.

There are 4 seperate mixes and since they are going through Behringer Headphone amps I'm sure anyone would appreciate a 30 band EQ.

Aren't both the inputs and outputs unbalanced on the M-EQ230?  Are you putting input transformers at the EQ inputs?  If the inputs are unbalanced then the run to them would be unbalanced despite the console output being balanced.

So who is going to be adjusting the EQ?  At least it's for in-ears and not for floor monitors.

No, it is not. It is barely adequate as a wedge with which to adjust monitor-wedge angles.

Running a balanced output to an unbalanced input doesn't buy you anything.

While I'm no fan of Behringer, there's no reason to believe that a simple headphone amplifier will degrade the signal such that it needs to be corrected by an EQ.
