Title: PC version of Qlab or Playback Pro for video playback?
Post by: Karl Bader on November 11, 2011, 09:59:18 AM
Hey All! We are currently in search of a piece of software that does Video playback and cueing off of a PC. We own a Macbook Pro that does run Playback Pro, and you're all right, nothing can beat it, BUT when that's out we like to have something on the laptops as well. If it's one video Quicktime Pro playing as a secondary monitor works fine, but if it's several, forget it.

Options? Google search didn't come up with anything useful...

Thanks,

Karl

I can't recommend a particular one, but when we were looking at computer playback options, I searched for VJ software and found a bunch of PC options. I'd start there... most of the time you can download demo versions to try out.

But in the end, we went with Playback Pro anyways!

Give Screen Monkey (http://www.screenmonkey.co.uk) a try

Its a bit unusual, but it (a) works and is (b) free.
