Title: Planning to buy spots for rental business ? Any suggestions /Experiences ??
Post by: Bharat Bajaj on September 10, 2012, 01:57:50 PM
Dear Friends,
I'am planning to buy around 24 spots for my rental business here in India. Kindly suggest and share your experiences for me to make the right choice.
I recently had an overview of Highend Systems , liked techno spot. Has anybody used it ??

Regards,

Bharat Bajaj

What do your rental customers ask for?  How bright do they need to be?  What functions do you require? What is your budget?

Hello Tom,
Wattage wise im really not sure, myself . as there is not really a specific requirement of bands here. We usually design the lighting Grid for them. budget is anywhere from USD 5000 to USD 8000. ?

Assuming that's US$5K - $8K EACH, I like my Varilite VL770s.  15,000 lumens, good optics, lots of functions.  Brightness needs depend on what you're using them for.  15,000 lumens is brighter than a 575w Source 4 fixture, and cuts through most LED/Par washes.

I have heard good things about the Techno Spot, but haven't used it myself.  Martin's MAC700 Profile is also in the same range.

General consensus is to go LED for wash fixtures, discharge for profile fixtures.

Hi Bharat,

We run a number of Techno Spots as well as Techno Arcs and Intellispots. We love them! You should try to find someone who has a Technospot in your area that would be willing to give you a demo.

Thanks,
Sean
