I know it is what it is but oh well. Use a standard layout I guess.

They're using the same canned forum software... neither company created that from scratch.

If Behringer wants to Rock the World then maybe they could pony up and pay for a custom site  ::)

It is not run by behringer and they have no involvement. This is an attempt to revive the old style of forum (for the behringer/midas digital mixers) that were quite popular back in the days.

Myself and Paul Vannatto have accepted the challenge to be mods and Patrick-Gilles Maillot is one of the site owners so there will be some heavy guns (or should it be goons  ;D) around.

Most of the forums for the past 20 years even use the same default light blue color scheme.

This is good to hear. I've pimped it all around Facebook the best I could.

MANY MANY forums use a very similar layout. It is a plug-and-play format that pretty much anyone with enough money to host a forum can utilize.

PHP BB is free and open source.

But hosting services, domain name for a forum, and server space are not. Then you need a team of people to manage it, who probably want to get paid. Yes PHP BB is free, but utilizing it is certainly not.
