to whom? lol

I think the new forums have a nicer look, but somewhat confusing to navigate and use again.

If we all chant loud enough maybe we can get it back.

Tree view, tree view.

It's amusing to see everyone (especially those we know as long time users) denoted as "Newbie['s]"

Agreed.  Not having tree-view & losing 7 years worth of content is the deal-breaker for me.

Yes, I'll continue to be openly critical of this change.  I'm bitter and happy to leave this place to the nitwits and idiots when power users (those of us who provided the content) are ungraciously ignored.

I guess that makes us "tree view huggers."  Is that a social issue? ;)

I never thought I'd be part of a group with "tree" and "huggers" in the title but I guess I am.  Trying to follow discussions with multiple splits is going to be very difficult without tree view.

Hopefully nothing will be lost an this "New" forum will give us some new benefits the old one did not have... Have to admit so far the old ones look more professional and this one will hopefully get some skins and such and not look like it was just thrown up here.

Hi all

As a flat view user i am happy ;D
glad the "New" layout does not have the light bulb look for new posts.
was to hard on the old eyes.

As this is only the early beta look, i am sure things will improve. 8)

Peace
Andrew

Another vote for implementing Tree View.

Question - will we have to do the captcha thing for every post?
I suggest not having to.

Thanks and good health,  Weogo

The Captcha entry is only for the first couple of posts.

Tree view is not supported by this forum software. We are working on ways to make flat view give some of the information that is available in tree view.

I'm just so glad that old shit forum software is on its way to the history books.  If no treeview is the price to pay, then sign me up.

Other than quoting the message you are responding to, is it possible to edit the little tag "Reply #xx" to indicate a trail of some sort?
 Kind of: Reply TO #12, #3, #1
then, click on 12 or 3 to read that message ?
I put up and ran a 2 line BBS in the early and mid 80's, Back when Hayes 1200 modems were da bomb. "little" changes were not always little to impliment !  >:(

Been here since the CompuServe days. Not going anywhere no matter how many times your change my dog food dish. Learned a ton here back when I was cutting my teeth and lived in a place where there was only one other "live sound guy" within a hours drive. God bless the "Live-Audio Board"!

So when do I get to be one of the old crusty sailors around here that go off on people who ask about kick drum mics?
