Title: DMX and Power Inverter
Post by: Robert Frank on June 04, 2018, 11:18:35 PM
I’m fairly new to intelligent lighting, so this might be completely idiotic, but hopefully I get get some help.

A company I am working for wants to use flexible RGB LED neon in a production they are doing.  The neon is 120v.  This wouldn’t be a problem normally, except the DMX is wireless and is powered by a 12v battery (the decoder is 12v/5a).  My thought is to attach the data and click wires to the decorder, but the power and ground wires to a pure sine power inverter, which would feed into the decoder on the other side.  Does that make sense?  Does that work?  Are there better solutions?
