Title: HELP!! QSC Touch Mix going Crazy!!
Post by: John Mayse on January 13, 2019, 10:55:29 PM
I bought the qsc touchmix 30 about 6 months ago.  About 2 weeks ago, i turned it on and it just started switching channels.  Now it does it everytime I turn it on. sometimes it will stop for a few minutes and then start switching again.  Does Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Thanks
John

Start by saving libraries/scenes etc, then reintialize.

Firmware version etc?
Make sure you're running the most up-to-date version.

Apart from that, is there anything touching the screen?
Has the unit got wet?

Chris

Don't those things have some kind of Demo mode that does something similar to what you're describing? Can't remember how to turn it off, must be in the manual though.

Google makes this tooo easy
https://www.qsc.com/resource-files/productresources/mix/q_mix_tmix_8_16_30_usermanual.pdf (https://www.qsc.com/resource-files/productresources/mix/q_mix_tmix_8_16_30_usermanual.pdf)
On page 1:
"Demo mode is a looping slide show that plays as a factory default to give prospective buyers an overview of the mixer. You’ll probably want to turn Demo Mode off – even though our graphics guys are really proud of how it looks.
To Disable Demo Mode:  Menu -> Mixer Setup -> Demo Mode Off"

If it's this, then it would appear that your Touchmix has been reset to factory defaults, either intentionally, or by accident - or by a fault?

thanks,
Just a dirty screen (on the TM16) can cause some "interesting" responses.  Sweat drops on the mixer screen and/or the iPad are particularly bothersome, wet or dry.
Check carefully around the screen bezel for foreign matter.
