Title: Tape Delay
Post by: Joseph White, CTS on June 21, 2011, 05:14:29 PM
Hello,

I am an audio guy with a video question. For my application I need to pause an incoming live AV feed to align it with local show program. The video guys at this venue have rigged up a Magnavox home theater DVR to do the job...  This is a medium/high quality production otherwise, $1 million sound system, broadcast quality video, etc. There must be a better solution I can offer them so that I can get XLR I/O and decent quality playback, but the only solutions I find are $10k+ and I don't think they'll go for it.

Is there a simple DVR type professional device for pausing live video and audio that is in the <$2000 range?

Thanks.

In the past we have used Doremi products for both audio and video delays like you talk about. I'm not sure what model was used since it has been a few years. Also, 360 Systems might have something.
