Thinking it would be convenient to have a pair of 8 ohm Lab SUBs, I was wondering if Eminence might make a quartet of 16 ohm drivers on request, or if there's another 12" driver that is already available with a 16 ohm impedance that might also work. I'm guessing the answers will be unlikely and no, but thought I'd give it a shot, nonetheless. The convenience would be going with a speaker-level, 1st order XO, rather than bi-amping. Thanks a lot. --keto

Might just connect the motors in series instead of having special order drivers built. Eminence needs 100 unit minimum orders for OEM runs.

Hello Keto
CIARE makes a speaker that works very well in the Lab Subs.
It is the 12.00 SW. MVSS from near here uses them.
The upside is that they are 1000 watts. MVSS also likes the fact that they are also 8 ohm, and can push more on one amp.
The downside is that the 8ohm VC is about 3 db down from the 6 ohm Eminence in the 30-50hz range.
This speaker is available in 4, 8, and 16 ohms.
