Mods, please move if this not the best place.
I am working on an exterior lighting project and need some info on cable viability.
From the fixture user manual:
"Connect the bare ended IP66 rated signal cable to IP66 rated connectors or use IP66 rated junction box and conduit."
The manual also says, "electrical characteristics >= Beldon 9841.
Product installation notes: "recommend: Beldon 7201A and ProPlex PC224T"
Are these cables rated to be permanently exposed to sun and water (5 - 105 deg F , air temp) on a rooftop or direct buried?
Are there other cable options, maybe more budget friendly?
The manual implies that conduit is not required to protect the cable (if using IP66 connectors).
I would really prefer to be able to free run the cable considering the lack of access to the rooftop.
The fixtures appear to be using the 5 channel dmx to carry in and out, and using junctions.
If I am overlooking anything please feel free to share.
Thanks.

You can use a Cat5 for DMX: https://support.etcconnect.com/ETC/FAQ/DMX_Over_Cat5

Outdoor rated Cat5e shielded cable would be a perfect cheap solution.
Something like Ubiquiti's PE jacketed tough cable?
