I have a couple of the Shure AD4Q receivers in a rack with two of the stock antennas connected to the first AD4Q, and then cascaded from there to the second AD4Q. For some reason the RF level on the "A" side is considerably lower than the "B" side on all 4 of the channels... ON THE FIRST AD4Q ONLY! The second AD4Q is fine. I can't figure out why. Is there possibly a menu item for this that I'm overlooking?

I'm not sure, but I don't recall an antenna sensitivity setting in there. Are you absolutely sure that you are on the correct BNC's for "In" and "Cascade" (not sure off the top of my head if those are the correct labels...). It does make a difference as they are not just paralleled BNC's. The feed through is a buffered output.

Disconnect all antenna cables from both units.
Take one antenna and plug into the A side of unit one then the B side.
Repeat with unit 2 and report results.

Given the symptoms and troubleshooting, it certainly sounds like there's an issue post the internal 2-way cascade splitter's port feeding the 4-way splitter for the individual "A" side receivers. Contact Shure for service.
There is no antenna gain adjustment in the receiver configuration menu.

When you say a couple do you mean 2 of them? Have you tried swapping the top and bottom one and see if it behaves the same way? Is it always the first one that has the antenna directly plugged into it that is lower in FR level?

I was thinking along the same lines as Henry but wanted to make sure the fault was correctly assessed.

Well it wasn't my imagination, a bad antenna, bad cable, or some hidden menu item. I sent the unit into Shure last week and they confirmed with me Monday that they will need to replace the main PCB. Apparently, from my conversation with them last week, this is not something they have seen much of before, if at all. Anyway, it looks like things are getting resolved and I'll probably have the unit back sometime next week. By the way, Shure has been great to deal with throughout this whole ordeal. I really do like their customer support and, frankly that why I choose the Shure wireless over Sennheiser.

Hi Tom, I hope you're able to still see this even though it was a couple years ago.
I think I'm having a similar issue. The A antenna is full level. The B antenna signal is non existent or very low. I swapped the antenna from A to B on the back of the AD4Q and still low or no level on B.
Is there anyway you still have your case number I can provide to Shure when I contact them so they can have a reference? Thanks.
