I hope this isn't too off topic.
I would like to create a cataloging database of our services' audio files. I would like to catalog, for example, the minister, date, title, subject tags, etc. I would like to be able to then search the database based on these various parameters. I envision this working somewhat like a library cataloging system.
Has anyone else done anything like this? If so, what did you use?

Check out jukebox by music match. It's a great way to catalogue audio files. You can tag the files with all the info you mentioned.

Thanks for the info Doug. I'll check that out. Hopefully it will make life much easier than setting up a separate database.
Speaking of which, has anyone here used Microsoft Access to create a file catalog list?

Setting up an access database is very easy of you have a basic understanding of database structure. With a database like access you will basically just have a list of your recording. You will not be able to access that particular file. (well you can link to it but it will not play in access it will play in your default audio player.
ITunes may be a good option you can enter in any as much info as possible then there is a handy search feature that will sort by those credentials. I store services in ITunes and make sure i add them to a playlist so they will all be together when i need a quick reference to all of them.

Hey thanks Michael and Doug for the input. I've checked out MusicMatch and iTunes and I'll be trying them side by side for a while to see which one I like the best. They both seem to be a fit for what I would be doing.
Yeah Michael, setting up an Access database wouldn't be too hard, and was my original thought. But I get overly involved and then try to add every possible feature I can come up with and it gets out of hand. So by steering me to these two products, my life has been simplified, and I thank you both. Besides I know I'm not adept enough to put the polish and ease of use in it that is already available in MusicMatch and iTunes.
