Post by: David Sturzenbecher on January 14, 2016, 09:31:05 AM
Looks to be the end of an Era.   Any one have more details then can be gleaned from the website?

What is it being replaced with, and who is the designer and contractor?

I would be tempted to leave it there and upgrade around it.  Perhaps bring it out for special occasions.

Steve.

My guess is that it is going to be replaced with a centerhung video board.  I heard rumors it hasn't actually been in operation for a few years now after another system was installed. Outside of spending a few months in Lexington for another project,  I don't have any personal connection to the venue so I don't really know much for details.

I would have liked to have heard "Bertha" and the replacement system.
They have a gold mine in the Altec drivers, there's a home hi-fi crowd here and over seas that go crazy for Altec multi cells and drivers.

I wonder how Bertha will be disposed of?
