Maybe I missed it already on here, but I am looking to get a case made for an SC48. Im no longer dealing with the company I was dealing with before. Who is a good company out there? How much did you pay? Any Pics? Thanks in advance...

I used Mt for my profile case and there is no issues. What is wrong with MT?

The only R&R case I am familiar with was for a PM5DRH and was a fantastic case. And it was built for a PM5D that traveled a lot. But it was so heavy that it was a real pain to move around. I think the total weight with the console in the case was about 600 pounds.
I would like to see a case that is sturdy but light. Does someone make a composite material case that fits the bill? Like made out of some sort of honeycomb type of material.

MT built my SC48 case and it caused $1500 worth of damage to my console, which I had to pay for.

The last console case we got was from L&M. Pretty nice case!! Great turnaround time!!

They didn't design a safe place to put the computer monitor. It fell off in transit and broke some encoders. Digidesign/Avid was awesome though. Came to my hotel and replaced them for me. Still had to pay....

Yes the R+R cases are heavier than many others but there is a reason for it. They are heavy-duty no comprimise cases plain and simple. That is the way Mike and boys have been building there cases for years now. With their cases it is one less thing I have to worry about. Money well spent.

We used Olympic Case out of Florida. Very satisfied in every respect. Right at $1800.

Hey I got a great idea! Maybe YOU could be that pioneering trailblazing soul and member of this Pro Audio community to get one of the Rock Hard Cases rotating mixer cases for your SC48! And then tell us if it rocks or if it drops!

Obviously, if you're a guy who has minions working for you and you can just point and watch other guys lift your Sc48 off the ground, then never mind.
As far as stability issues, please read the answer I got from them on the rotating mixer thread. Hey just a thought. Good luck on your choice.

Do you have a picture of that case with the console in it? I am about to order a sc48 case from olympic and want to make sure I learn of anything you may not like. It looks like the holes that are cut for the lights are spread to far compared to the SC48 I have sitting next to me(critical I know but when you pay that much you want it right). Also a pic of the doghouse would be awesome.

Hi Thomas -
The photos can be misleading if you are looking at the small details, sorry. They are not of my case. They are of a case for a Digi system (perhaps a Venue?) that Bob Farina sent me showing construction details of how they would build my SC48 case. I attached those because they were handy and I thought demonstrated the overall case design. I will be going over to the shop today or tomorrow and will take and post some photos of my case, including the doghouse.

I couldn't agree more with Doug. The R&R case I purchased for my SC48 is the best investment I've made this year, just after the SC48 itself. I highly recommend their design. ;D
