Title: Permanent install using indoor speakers outside?
Post by: Chris Sorbera on June 26, 2014, 12:57:18 AM
I have two ELX115P speakers & two ELX118P subs that I am looking at possibly installing under a large covered gazebo. Out of any direct sunlight/rain, etc... However, it will be exposed to the cold and heat of south Texas. Usually 115 degrees is the highest spikes in temp here.
Do you think it will work?

For 6 months to a year. Then plan on buying everything over again.

OK, so definitely need to go with some outdoor speakers then... What would y'all recommend? Gazebo, concrete flooring, approx. 75' square. I'll be flying the speakers off the wooden rafters.
