I don't get it, I've tried. Who wants one of these and what's your use case?
It seems like there's tons of I/O relative to the number of channels it can actually process. I'd rather just have an actual console. Plus yet another cat5 snake? Really? We've got Dante, I've got no desire to deploy a proprietary distributed digital snake system when Dante is already here.

This looks pretty cool. It's an installation product. Will be cool to see if you can control from Crestron.

So what kind of use case would you see it in? There's plenty of DSP platforms out there that can do more.

It's a Digico. My guess is they want a hat in ring for the lucrative install market.

So.... this looks to be a product of the digico / Allen and Heath partnership. Its a dLive ip6 / ip8 with director software with a rebadge.

Not really. A&H and Digico aren't partners, just share a common umbrella. The closest A&H product would be a DM rack with different firmware.
The end goal for this looks to be installs, obviously. I work with larger churches, this would fit well in a church that has Digico in the main room, and wants "that sound" in multiple smaller rooms. Without needing a full console in each room.
It's a niche product, but I can see applications already. There have been a handful of projects (larger church installs) where something like this would have been perfect.

Hi Caled.
I agree its not identical but its very similar to the dlive installation components. The software looks very similar and the remote controls are rebrandedIP0, IP6 and IP8 remotes. I suspect its a DM0 merged with a DX32 in a digico box. The A164 wall box is a DX164 and the A168 is a DX168.
The Partnership includes the 3 companies sharing R&D. The use of FPGA by allen heath was part of the sharing process with digico.
However i dont have any inside knowledge on this. Its purely observation.

The software and hardware is definitely re-branded A&H dLive stuff. Look at dLive director and then look at the 4REA4 software.
What's sad is that the VERY COOL LCD strips on the DX164 (Sorry, A164) are not available for dLive.
