Title: RS 232 to USB
Post by: John Livings on December 27, 2010, 07:18:59 PM
I want to load a Profile to a Show Designer 2 Controller.

We are running Windows 7 on a PC laptop.

Which RS 232 to USB connector has anyone had success with?

There are many options, Some say this will work, others say it won't.

Any suggestions will be welcome.

I just used the Radio Shack unit to talk to a DriveRack 481 and Shure DFR11.  I think most of the "don't work" problems with RS232 to USB are user error.  Many people do not understand they need to load drivers and check com port settings in hardware manager.
