Title: Video to computer recording
Post by: Doug Hammel on April 04, 2012, 02:28:31 PM
Hello all, our church is going to be purchasing new computers for our tech setup, one for propresenter and the other one for recording the services for audio podcast. We currently record a single camera to DVD also. We have talked about combining those two functions onto the new recording computer. The audio part is no problem as we are already doing that part. What do we need to do for the video part hardware/ software wise. The video source will be a single camera and then maybe a video switcher in the future.

If you have a camera with HD-SDI output I would recomend getting a Blackmagic DeckLink Duo $500. You could go from the camera into your computers video editing software along with the audio from your console. It has 2 HD-SDI inputs so you could add another camera or video switcher with HD-SDI output into the computer also.
