What, you got a reply from Music Group/Tribe/Collective? You're miles ahead of everyone else.

Sounds a little dodgy... if they ask for your mother's maiden name... just say no.

Follow Up:
They did attempt to call me ...and of course I was away from phone. BUT!! They did leave phone & extension nos. info for a real & named person! Rest of transaction went smoothly, with rapid e-mail confirmation. It's just the weirdness of adding an unnecessary hurdle in the process. A little retrograde.

I had one like that recently, buying some Lemo connectors which are currently rather difficult to source. Found some at a supplier with ISO 900000000 type stuff all over their website, started the transaction on their website. Ended up having to call in a credit card, submit a PO on letterhead, etc. And yet last time I bought from them I was able to do it all online.

LEMO prods are used in medical-world, currently kinda maxxed out.

Perhaps they did not have a secure CC facility yet... As I recall it was a major effort to get and keep CC secure on the web. You would not expect phones to be very secure but apparently thieves are to lazy to do that much work.

That would explain it. The rep at LEMO USA can't even get product.

And I bet even more expensive than usual, ad LEMO connectors ain't cheap!, I know Trantec went away from using LEMO connectors to a locking 3.5mm connector on their wireless systems because of the cost.

as mentioned before on numerous threads ... stock is Golden ... To quote "Tim M" - "The crystal ball" thingy ...
And now with India in a bad way, the crystal ball is looking grim for the supply chains. That's going to have huge and immediate impact on many industries.
