Title: eXcelisys "Ex-Rental Tracker" (built in FileMaker)
Post by: Shane Ervin on April 29, 2017, 05:35:19 PM
I just saw their FB post on the excelisys Ex-Rental Tracker (https://www.excelisys.com/ex-files/ex-rental-tracker/) that's built in FileMaker.

Their claim: It's an off-the-shelf platform that's useable right out of the box, but is also easily customizable by the end-user.

Holy schmow a FM and PHP mashup.  If they don't want a billion dollars this may crush my open source idea.

Indeed. I wonder how much it costs.

No price shown, plus "Let's start with a free consultation" = sounds expensive.

Define expensive.  If you want truly cheap its DIY time, if you want a  debugged, ready for primetime business application with lots of capabilities its going to cost alot in either your time or someone else's time.  I thought DIY was the whole point of the current effort but probably better done off season.
