Title: WWB6 profile for Sony UWP/UTX wireless
Post by: Philip Roberts on September 26, 2018, 11:58:01 PM
Does any one an WWB6 equipment profile for the Sony UWP-D line of wireless (UTX-B03 specifically). Baring an actual profile any suggestions as what it might be "close enough" to?

I've got Sony's frequency list sheet that includes several groups of pre-coordinated frequencies but don't know how to easily reverse engineer the profille spacing parameters from these lists.

I've got 2 channels of the Sony along with ~30 channels of ULX-D and 7 channels of ULX-P, 2 channels of Lectro Duet and 6 channels of PSM900 in the same building so it's full but not Broadway packed.

Thanks

Philip

Hi Philip,
From memory, they have about a 200KHz wide footprint, like most digital TX's. I would leave about 100KHz on either side, so that would make them a 400KHz (or 399KHz, as it would be in IAS, so you can get actual 400KHz spacings) BW. I wouldn't worry too much about 5th's or 7th's. 3rd's, just use whatever they're using for ULXD and see what results you get.

UWP-D is an analog 180KF3E carrier with audio DSP on the front and rear end.  The UHF-R profile should be ideal.

Thanks, I'll probably just use the more conservative value for each setting comparing the UHF-R and ULX-D profiles.
